Our Credo

Three promises

To reach the vision of QA Analytics (QA), we make these three promises.

1. A service that is clear and useful for anyone

  • We aim for controls that are intuitive and quick.
  • We care about showing data in a way everyone on the team can understand at a glance.
  • Not only with tools, but together with professionals and the community, we will build places where using data is more fun.

2. We do not keep your data to ourselves

  • It is 100% GPL open source.
  • Your data stays on your own server. We have no access to it at all.
  • We do not store anything that could identify a person, including IP addresses.
  • We will never do the following. (The system makes it physically impossible.)
    • Secretly look at your site’s data
    • Start a competing service on our own, or sell your data
    • Use your valuable customer information for our own purposes

3. We give our profits back toward a better future

  • Profits from paid contracts fund the ongoing open source development of QA Analytics.
  • We write up what we learn in development and give it back to the WordPress community.
  • We aim to make software that works around the world, and to help the ICT industry in Japan grow.

A better future is hard to define. But we want more smiles on more faces around the world, and we want this planet to stay a rich place to live. So we will keep working by what we believe in.

Data-driven inspiration for everyone

QA is an autonomous, decentralized Behavioral Data Platform that anyone can use easily.

What’s Data ?

What is data?

Something you have to use to improve your website. A headache of numbers. The fuel of the new digital society. The oil of the 21st century. People describe it in many ways. We see data as a part of observation.

Observation is how we come to know this world more deeply, and it is a source of inspiration. Isaac Newton is said to have found the law of universal gravitation by watching an apple fall to the ground.

In the Australian bushfires, a koala sat by a lake, burned and unable to move, in front of a companion that had not survived. The wild koalas rescued from the burning trees were all badly burned, their fur scorched black and shrunken. It is said that as many as 1.2 billion wild animals died in those fires.

That is a scene, and a number, that I saw on TV and that hurt to watch. Seeing always gives people deep inspiration and the drive to act in new ways.

Observation has driven human progress, and that progress is the will of humankind as a whole, handed down from our ancestors.

Data-driven inspiration for everyone who wants it

If observation belongs to all of humankind, then data, as a part of it, is not something a single company should own and lock away.

Data is a power that everyone with the will to use it should be able to get, fairly. We believe data analysis does not belong only to one company, or only to analysts.

Data-driven inspiration for everyone who wants it. That is the future we, the QA development team, want to make real.

Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.
