WebJobs Inc. (“we”, “us” or “our”), which runs QA Assistants, Analytics Backup by QA, QA ZERO and other QA services (the “Services”), considers your personal information very important and works to protect it.
This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information we receive from you, in connection with your visits to quarka.org and its related sub-pages (the “Site”) and your use of the software of the Services.
QA Assistants, Analytics Backup by QA and other QA services are not cloud-based.
Collected data is stored on your own server.
We will never use your valuable personal data without permission, secretly take your site data, or sell your personal data to third parties.
How We Obtain Personal Information
When we handle personal information as defined in Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information, we obtain it by proper and fair means.
Data collected on the Site
The Site automatically collects and stores information such as internet domain names, IP addresses, location, operating system, browser, browser language, the URLs of pages you view on the Site, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, and information about your access to the Site (the date, time and pages you access). Cookies (information sent from our server to your browser and stored on your computer so that the server can recognize you) may be used to count visits accurately and to make browser display more convenient. The collected information does not identify you personally. You can turn off cookies by changing your browser settings. You may refuse cookies, but in that case you may not be able to make full use of the Site.
We also process usage data in aggregated or de-identified form for statistical purposes and to improve the Site.
Contacting us by email
Visitors to the Site can contact us by email, for example through the contact form, where we ask for contact information (name, email address, etc.).
When you respond to a campaign or survey, we collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, email address, and other information collected in the input forms we provide.
Payment information
The Services include paid plans. If you purchase the Services, we may collect information about the purchase. This may include payment information such as your credit card number, and contact information such as your billing address.
To process your payment information securely, we use a third party, ROBOT PAYMENT (the “Payment Processor”). If you pay by credit card, the payment information you provide through the Services is encrypted and sent directly to the Payment Processor. We do not store your payment information, and we do not control and are not responsible for the Payment Processor or its collection or use of your information. You can learn more about how the Payment Processor stores and uses your payment information in its privacy policy.
Whether to provide personal information is up to you. However, if you do not provide some of the required information, you may not be able to use part of the Services.
Purposes of Use of Personal Information and Data
We use the personal information you provide for the following purposes.
Where the information obtained is personal information, we will not use it beyond these purposes without your consent, except where permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws.
- Issuing tool licenses for QA Analytics, Analytics Backup by QA, etc.
- Communications and notices about providing the Services
- Providing support for the Services
- Sending necessary documents and responding to inquiries
- Sending announcement emails and newsletters
- Shipping goods
- Verifying your identity
- Analyzing usage, measuring effectiveness, and other marketing research and analysis, in order to make things more convenient for you, improve quality and provide useful services
- Purposes incidental to the above
- Other uses we publish on the Site and to which you have consented
To measure advertising effectiveness, we may obtain, through tools operated by third parties, information about ads you clicked before visiting the Site (personally related information such as the click date and the site where the ad appeared) and match it with your application information.
Provision to Third Parties
As a rule, we do not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without your consent.
When using personal information within the purposes above, we may ask a third party to carry out that work on our behalf. In that case, we select a contractor that can manage personal information securely based on our selection criteria, and provide only the personal information that contractor needs to carry out the work properly in line with this Privacy Policy.
Security Measures
We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent and correct unauthorized access to, leakage, loss or damage of personal data, and otherwise to manage personal data securely. Personal information we no longer need to keep is reliably discarded or erased by appropriate means, and we keep personal data accurate and up to date. We also supervise our employees as necessary and appropriate, and train them regularly, for the secure management of personal data.
Protection and Transfer of Personal Data of Customers Outside Japan
We are headquartered in Japan. If you live outside Japan, your personal data is collected in your country and then transferred to Japan.
We respect privacy rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
When we transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (E.E.A.), we apply at least one of the following two safeguards.
- We transfer your personal data to countries that the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection by E.E.A. standards (see the list).
- We take steps to ensure that the recipient is bound by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards to protect your personal data.
In certain circumstances, courts, law enforcement agencies, regulators or security authorities in those countries may have the right to access your personal data.
Disclosure, Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information
If you ask us to disclose, correct, add to or delete, stop using or erase your personal information, to stop providing it to third parties, or to notify you of its purposes of use, we will confirm that the request comes from you and respond sincerely and promptly in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
